The Ronda de Dalt Funeral Home in Barcelona celebrates 10 years with a memorial mass at Santa Maria del Mar
Barcelona, 9 December 2016 – This year, the Ronda de Dalt Funeral Home in Barcelona, operated by Àltima, is celebrating its tenth anniversary. To mark the occasion, a memorial mass will be held on Monday, 12 December, at 7 p.m. at the Church of Santa Maria del Mar. The service will pay tribute to all the deceased whom the facility has served over the past decade and express gratitude to the families who have entrusted the funeral home with their services. The mass will be officiated by Father Salvador Pié-Ninot, Rector of the Basilica of Santa Maria del Mar, and will feature the Francesc Valls Chamber Choir from the Cathedral of Barcelona.
Opened in 2006, the Ronda de Dalt Funeral Home was the first private facility to launch in Barcelona and the first of Àltima in the city. Since then, the center has served over 28,000 families. According to Josep Ventura, General Director of Àltima Funeral Services, “we have a very positive assessment of these ten years in Barcelona, where we have established ourselves as a high-quality alternative, capable of adapting to the needs and possibilities of all users.” Over this period, Ronda de Dalt has achieved a service share of 23%. Families using the funeral home rate it with an average score of over 9 out of 10, a level considered very satisfactory. In these 10 years, the Funeral Home has fully addressed the evolution of funeral services by offering new products and services and achieving growth in secular ceremonies and cremations.
Designed by the architectural firm Ribas&Ribas, the Ronda de Dalt Funeral Home is one of the city's most iconic funeral facilities. It spans twelve thousand square meters across five floors and features 20 viewing rooms, all with natural light and equipped with private bathrooms. Located at 17 Scala Dei Street in the Horta-Guinardó district, it is very close to Vall d’Hebron University Hospital.
