The Advance Directive Document and Rituals in the Grieving Process
Barcelona, February 15, 2018. – Aiming to provide support tools for healthcare professionals, Àltima is organizing the seminar 'Advance Directives and Rituals in the Grieving Process' to address two key topics related to end-of-life care. The free event will take place tomorrow, Friday, February 16, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the headquarters of the Official College of Nurses of Barcelona (COIB).
The seminar will feature presentations by Montserrat Busquets, a nurse and Doctor of Sociology, and by palliative care experts Consuelo Raya, a social worker at Vall d'Hebron University Hospital, and María del Mar Pérez, a nurse and lecturer at the same hospital.
Busquets’ session will focus on Advance Directives (DVA), with the goal of clarifying the responsibility of nursing professionals in the planning and processing of advance directives. Raya and Pérez will lead the session 'Rituals in the Grieving Process,' addressing the most relevant elements for those supporting individuals in grief, offering practical tools for daily use, and integrating emotional and rational aspects.
