Àltima’s Funeral Home in Terrassa ready to open

Terrassa, July 16, 2018.– The construction of Àltima's funeral home in Terrassa is in its final stages, and according to the planned schedule, the center is expected to open in early September. This will be the first funeral home built by the company in Vallès Occidental (Barcelona), located on a plot of more than 5,000 square meters, with a facade on three streets, at Avenida del Vallès, 742 (in the Can Petit industrial park).

Currently, Àltima is completing the interior work on furniture and decoration, as well as the exterior landscaping, which will be finished by September. To assess the progress of the new center’s construction, a visit was held today with the presence of the Bishop of Terrassa, Monsignor Josep Àngel Saiz Meneses, who blessed the space, and several representatives from the funeral sector in Catalonia.

The new Àltima funeral home, with a total investment of €3.3 million, will feature three independently accessible viewing rooms, a multifaith oratory –prepared for both religious and secular ceremonies– with a capacity for 160 seated guests, administrative and family service offices, a flower display area, and a rest or vending area. It will also offer 113 free parking spaces for visitors. The facility, designed by Batlle&Roig Arquitectes, incorporates environmentally friendly and energy-saving criteria. Through this new center, Àltima will provide services from Terrassa to anyone –with or without death insurance– who requests them. Due to its location, the funeral home will also serve residents of nearby towns such as Matadepera and Viladecavalls. Àltima has undertaken this new project in partnership with Funeraria Montserrat Truyols, a well-established local company.
