Figueres, June 11, 2018 – The funeral services company Àltima is organizing the first Àltima - Alt Empordà Workshop for Professionals in Figueres, titled "Communication in the Healthcare Sector," led by psychologist Jordi Garcia Sicard. The event will take place on Thursday, June 14, from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM, at the Auditorium of the Figueres Hospital (Ronda Rector Arolas, s/n).
"Communication in the Healthcare Sector" will cover topics of interest relevant to the daily work of healthcare professionals in the Alt Empordà region. The event is structured into three segments, presented by Jordi Garcia Sicard, addressing themes such as "The Importance of Effective Communication," "Communicating Bad News," and "I Don't Want to Keep Living."
Jordi Garcia Sicard is a psychologist at Serveis Integrals de Psicologia (SIPS), a collaborator with Àltima, and at the Catalonia Medical Emergency Service (SEM). He coordinates emergency psychology training courses at the Official College of Psychologists of Catalonia. He also spent 17 years as a disability assessment evaluator at the Department of Labour, Social Affairs, and Families of the Generalitat of Catalonia.
