The agreement aims to contribute to raising awareness about Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias through various talks that will be held in the Trinitat Vella neighborhood of Barcelona.

Barcelona, March 16, 2022 - Áltima has signed a collaboration agreement with Alzheimer Catalunya Foundation, an organization that has been working for over 30 years to improve the quality of life for people with any type of dementia. With this agreement, both entities aim to promote awareness of dementias in the Trinitat Vella neighborhood of Barcelona, as well as provide guidance on the resources that the foundation makes available to all those who live directly or indirectly with individuals experiencing cognitive decline. The agreement was signed by Josep Ventura, General Director of Áltima Funeral Services, and Aurora Santín, General Director of Alzheimer Catalunya Foundation.

To promote awareness of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, Áltima and Alzheimer Catalunya Foundation will organize several talks open to the residents of Trinitat Vella, with the goal of providing them with information and tools to help manage cognitive decline.

Having been present in Barcelona since 2006, through the Tanatori Ronda de Dalt and various family support offices, Áltima reaffirms its social and solidarity commitment to the city with this agreement, reflecting its vocation for service and support during one of life’s most difficult stages. For Alzheimer Catalunya Foundation, this collaboration helps in the fight against Alzheimer’s and other dementias, benefiting those who suffer from them and their families.

Alzheimer Catalunya Foundation is a leading entity in supporting and caring for people with dementia, prioritizing their perspective, will, and worldview, as well as their future. The foundation has been tirelessly working since 1988 to improve the quality of life for these individuals, generating proposals that promote their inclusion and raise social awareness.
