SFI signs collaboration agreement with the Incorpora Program of the “la Caixa” Social Work Foundation
Sant Boi de Llobregat, June 28, 2011.
Serveis Funeraris Integrals (SFI), a leading funeral services company in the province of Barcelona, has signed an agreement to join the Incorpora program of the Obra Social "la Caixa". The main goal of this agreement is to work together on the integration of people at risk of social exclusion into the workforce.
The signing ceremony was attended by Josep Ventura, Director of the Funeral Services Division at SFI; Jordi Viñas, CEO of SFI; and Marc Simón, Director of the Social Integration Area at the “la Caixa” Foundation. During the ceremony, Josep Ventura stated that "this agreement enhances the company’s commitment to seeking integration opportunities and providing job placements for the most disadvantaged groups in society, especially in these challenging economic times." In this regard, SFI aims to incorporate individuals into the centers it manages in L'Hospitalet and Baix Llobregat.
Social Commitment to Dignified Employment
With over 270 employees across Catalonia, SFI aims to help various groups access dignified employment at its centers through collaboration with Incorpora. The program supports people with disabilities, immigrants, young people facing difficulties, women who are victims of domestic violence, and long-term unemployed individuals. "This collaboration reaffirms SFI's commitment to social responsibility, improving its own competitiveness, and fostering sustainable social development," said Jordi Viñas, CEO of SFI.
SFI's participation in Incorpora will provide guidance and support from entities and social integration experts during the new employee’s insertion process to ensure the successful implementation of the program. Thanks to partnerships with companies like SFI, Incorpora has facilitated the employment of 35,000 people since its launch in 2006.
