Serveis Funeraris Integrals Announces Name Change to ÀLTIMA

Barcelona, April 19, 2013.

Serveis Funeraris Integrals (SFI), a company dedicated to funeral service management for over 300 years, has announced today a change in its name and corporate image to ÀLTIMA. This change comes after 11 years since its creation, during which the group has consolidated its presence in Catalonia, with a total of 25 funeral homes, 5 crematoriums, and 16 cemeteries. The group’s presence in the city of Barcelona, through the Ronda de Dalt funeral home, now represents 19% of the city's services.

In 2013, an investment plan is scheduled to improve and construct new facilities, including new funeral homes in Viladecans (Baix Llobregat) and Sant Vicenç de Castellet (Bages).

Josep Ventura, General Director of Funeral Services at ÀLTIMA, stated that “in recent years, we have increased our presence in Catalonia, and now, in addition to serving the metropolitan area of Barcelona, Garraf, and Penedès, we also reach the province of Girona (Figueres and Ripoll) and Bages (Manresa), improving our proximity to citizens. We will also continue to invest in our facilities to provide the utmost comfort to families and offer a close and respectful service.”

The name and corporate image change will consolidate the group's positioning and address the challenges of a sector that has undergone many changes recently. The new image of the group will be implemented over the coming months, and the new website www.altima-sfi.com is already active.

ÀLTIMA, formerly Serveis Funeraris Integrals, was founded in 2002 following the merger of three family businesses—Ventura, Fenés, and Viñas—with a commitment to service and family care. Currently, the group is present in a total of 167 municipalities in Catalonia.
