Àltima remodels the Ripollès Funeral Home-Crematorium
Ripoll (Girona), March 2, 2020.— Áltima, a leading company in the management of funeral services, funeral homes, crematories, and cemeteries, has completed the renovation of the Tanatorio-Crematorio del Ripollès in the municipality of Ripoll (Girona). The project involved a complete overhaul and reconfiguration of the viewing rooms, entrance, and parking area, with the aim of providing a more comfortable and accommodating facility for families undergoing a bereavement process. The renovation took four months and required an investment of €100,000.
With the renovation, the Ripoll center now features three viewing rooms—down from the previous four—each larger, more comfortable, and with additional services. All rooms include well-defined areas: a spacious family area, a catering zone with a coffee machine and refrigerator, and a room for viewing the deceased. Additionally, sound-absorbing materials have been used to enhance comfort and privacy, and new natural wood furniture has been added to create a warmer atmosphere. Natural light has been increased through the use of translucent glass closures in the three rooms. One of the rooms is larger, designed primarily for viewings with a large number of attendees, and includes a private bathroom. Furthermore, a refreshment area for family use has been added in the main lobby of the funeral home.
The renovation of the Tanatorio-Crematorio del Ripollès also included upgrades to the parking area. Accessibility has been improved with new asphalt paving and the installation of a staircase that provides direct access to the center. Additionally, lighting in the parking and surrounding areas has been enhanced to facilitate user movement outside the facility.
The Tanatorio-Crematorio del Ripollès is Áltima's most significant center in the region, serving all municipalities. The funeral company also has family service offices in Sant Joan de les Abadesses and Ribes de Freser.
