Àltima expands its presence in Penedès with a new funeral facility in Lavern

Subirats, May 2014.— The Catalan funeral services group Àltima has opened a new funeral facility in the municipality of Subirats, specifically in the Lavern area (Alt Penedès). The company's new premises in the region are located in a prime spot around the old Hermitage of Sant Pere de Lavern, well connected to the main communication routes in the area and just ten minutes from the center of Sant Sadurní d’Anoia.

“With this new center, we strengthen our coverage in the Penedès regions, where we already serve 24 towns through our facilities in Vilafranca and L’Arboç,” says Josep Ventura, Director of Funeral Services at Àltima. The company, with over 300 years of experience in funeral services, has considered accessibility and responsible resource use in the design and construction of the new facility, utilizing natural light to create a welcoming, intimate, and personal atmosphere in the premises.

The new Àltima facilities will allow families to complete the funeral process without needing to travel to other centers, as they include a viewing room and a spacious public area: a large open cloister, as well as parking next to the building.

In addition to this new facility in Lavern, Àltima manages the Tanatori del Penedès in Vilafranca and the one in L’Arboç, as well as 23 other funeral homes, five cremation complexes, and 16 cemeteries across Catalonia, primarily in the regions of Barcelona and Girona.
