Àltima expands presence in Alt Penedès with a new mourning room in Sant Pere de Riudebitlles

Vilafranca del Penedès, September 1, 2020.- Àltima has launched a new space with a viewing room in Sant Pere de Riudebitlles. Located at 8 Carrer de Sant Quintí, in the town center and just a few meters from the Town Hall, the new facility aims to provide comprehensive and high-quality funeral services to families in Sant Pere de Riudebitlles and neighboring municipalities such as Sant Quintí de Mediona, Mediona, and Torrelavit.

For the new funeral facility in Sant Pere de Riudebitlles, Àltima has renovated a house in the town center and adapted it to house a viewing room exclusively for families. The room, spanning 40 square meters, features a spacious and comfortable area with sofas for receiving and viewing visitors, with an emphasis on natural light, a contiguous area for the display of the deceased – including a refrigerated casket – a private and accessible restroom, a wardrobe, and a space for refreshments. The entire facility is designed on the ground floor with direct entry from the main façade on Carrer de Sant Quintí. The Viewing Room also includes a secondary independent access from the side street, intended solely for use by the funeral home's staff.

The Viewing Room in Sant Pere de Riudebitlles is the third center for Àltima in the Alt Penedès region, where the company also manages the Vilafranca del Penedès funeral home and the Lavern Viewing Room. Additionally, Àltima operates a center in Baix Penedès, in L'Arboç, and three more in Garraf, in Vilanova i la Geltrú, Sitges, and Cubelles-Cunit.

Prepared and Safe Spaces

In response to the exceptional circumstances arising from the coronavirus pandemic, Àltima ensures the implementation of containment measures at all the centers it manages to prevent the risk of contagion among users and funeral staff. In this regard, the company ensures compliance with the maximum allowed capacity at each facility, the mandatory use of masks, and the maintenance of the minimum safety distance between individuals. Àltima also maintains several hand sanitizing stations with hydroalcoholic gel dispensers, as well as other measures such as increased cleaning frequency and the installation of special signage and informational panels for Covid-19 prevention.
